March 8 - International Women's Day

We heard from friends that June is worth watching,  Because of that reason even though its a tired Friday evening, we decided to jump in for the show. As always we got late and reached very well on-time for the movie. It was a good decision to book thru BMS since by the time we reached there, it was full.

I had no expectation from the movie till we reached there 10.15PM sri balaji.  My first thought was June stands for the 'month of june' Which is partially correct except the fact that our title character name also the same. Beyond my expectations the title character made it worth watching on a Women's day. The story touched our golden days of school and college life. The story revolves around the life of the title character. It has nicely visualized the life of us in the late 90's. Because of the same reason its sounds so familiar to my heart,  I haven't seen a recent movie which is women centric. This movie not used any other bold scenes to attract the viewers, the story and the visualization was more than enough.

The school life and the struggles of lower middle class family was aptly described in the first half, what made it worth watching is the innocent love of school time, though most of the actors are new but it didn't impact the flow of the diff chapters of the story. Rajisha Vijayan depicted the life of a  village girl brilliantly, with all timely changes from a 11th std to her marriage.  I would say the Actors of this film timely and aptly done their part from the perspective of the title character.
The theater gone crazy in the entries of Arjun and Sunny though they were only in some part of junes life. Nevertheless to say Joju done an amazing role as the father of june. The second half seen a mature and crazy life of june, The climax was quiet unexpected for me - i think i really expected the AJ for Anand and June But the entry of Alex is a real twist - and in a common girls real life these kinds of twists are pretty common.

In short I would say its a nostalgic visual treat - Dont miss it !
